This is the final trial version of Fantasy Infrared version, during my trial shots in Bali. Now this new version is available for Nikon infrared & Canon infrared cameras.

I use a Prewed Infrared version during my Singapore trip last month. No need for post processing and the skin tone is almost natural.
I wrote a Travel Infrared article about it in 7th edition iR e-magazine. See some samples there.
One of the most important tip in Infrared Photography is always RAW format. So in Nikon we get NEF files, and in Canon we get CR2 files.
But let me give you another important tips. If you use Nikon, open your RAW files in Nikon Capture NX first, save it to TIFF or JPG format, then you may process the TIFF and JPG files in Adobe Photoshop.
Do NOT open your RAW files straight in Adobe Photoshop.
If we open RAW files in Photoshop, the colors will be different from the original colors. So it will be hard for us to process and find the infrared colors as usual.
It is also important to open RAW files in Nikon Capture NX first, so we can post-set ( change preset after the shot ) the files through RAW/White Balance/ Set Gray Point menu option, and control the combination between red and blue channels.
In March 7, 2009, MyINFRARED launched a new New Infrared Photo Gallery.
It’s a free online album dedicated for infrared photographers, specially in Singapore, with a quota of 1 gb per member.

Another group photo of participants, including 2 white swans as model, in Rancaupas Camping Area. This small lake is the location of my favourite pic of “Good Morning, Rancaupas”.

Original file from Sony Alpha 100 and Goldie IR.

Sony Alpha 100, Goldie IR, channel swapped

Sony Alpha 100, Goldie IR, desaturate cyan channel
By desaturating the Cyan channel on Goldie IR version, you can create a “Full IR style” picture from your Goldie IR shot. It means, you have 2 infrared versions in one Goldie infrared version.

This picture taken during a thematic photo hunting for “Terra Borobudur” Photo Contest. I put the coconut trees as a foreground and used it as a “transparant” frames. 12-24mm ultra wide angle lense creates a nice distortion of the trees. A cycling girl crossed, and just “click”. Unique colors of coconut leaves really enhanced the dramatic panorama of Borobudur.
This is my favourite picture of Borobudur, and has won several photo contest awards.

This image was taken during our family holiday in Bali. And I feel very lucky to get this moment. Fortunately I brought my Nikon infrared camera, and all the setting is natural. The bicycle and those couple in love already in place. I just took several low angle shots in a low horizon composition. And just right after I took my last shot, those couple went away.
But the most important thing is : I love this shot.
